Momo (a book by Michael Ende)

Beppo the roadsweeper says: "Sometimes, when you've a very long street ahead of you, you think how terribly long it is and feel sure you'll never get it swept... And then you hurry. You work faster and faster, and everytime you look up there seems to be just as much to sweep as before, and you try even harder…, and you panic, and in the end you're out of breath and have to stop-and still the street stretches away in from of you"

a book i recently noticed, on a dusty bookshelf of a library, about an orphan girl, Momo, who're a hundred or a hundred and two years old (said Momo, cos she doesn't know how to count). A little girl so rich, that has the whole time in the world, to play with you, to hear(<== listen, kata mas de pul) you, yes, hear (listen) you!!, whatever you say and your unspoken ones. You consist of you, whatever you are, men, women, young ones, old ones, canaries(this is the hardest thing to be heard, Momo says that it takes more than a week hearing to make it happily singing again), tortoises, stars, rains.... anything, just mention it, and surely, she will hear

Hear (listen) (and patience to hear (listen) of course), is Momo's most precious talent that makes anyone attracted to her. Guido the tourguide, Beppo the roadsweeper, Nino the caffemaster, Nicolai the bricklayer and others...

(to be continued, i must do my homework, enough of today english practice)
see yaa tomoloowwwwww

(the book : Momo, by Michael Ende, udah diterbitin oleh Gramedia Lohhh , bulan Juli ini)

Gramedia? Translated them, I presume. Can't really expect a good reading. I mean, in English to "hear" and "listen" are two different things. Bahasa doesn't support that difference.

Even that could make the main point of the book being retold redundantly.
